Earlier this year, Bompas & Parr and Captain Morgan rum took Londoners on a nautical adventure to an underground paradise: the Lost Lagoon.

This ticketed event was hidden in a secret subterranean central London location and offered the chance for budding buccaneers to leave the dark, dank English winter on a delicious journey of discovery.

With a plot inspired by the world's most famous buccaneer himself, Lost Lagoon represented a fantastical reinterpretation of the eponymous Captain Henry Morgan's world, and required guests to navigate themselves by boat on the world's largest indoor lagoon to a series of islands inspired by the atolls of the south Pacific.

Along the way, facing creative challenges as part of an immersive theatrical production, buccaneers received rum-based rations and progressively accumulated the knowledge to make the finest rum punches, reinvigorating a 400-year-old rhyme-based recipe that has stood the test of time to remain the simplest way to make a great-tasting punch –  with no obscure ingredients or complex techniques required.

Armed with their final recipe, they found Captain Morgan's ultimate hidden bounty -– an island party palace for urban luaus set against a radical reimagining of south Pacific island-inspired tiki culture.

Perfect for groups, and with a dress code of Neo-Tiki, the vibe was colourful and celebratory: think beyond nautical, beyond beach, beyond buccaneer. At the Lost Lagoon, more was most definitely more.

And now the Lost Lagoon has set sail to Birmingham. Go to www.lostlagoon.org to ensure your tickets.
