Aveeno Length & Strength Installation

A tactile sculptural centrepiece engineered to transform a beauty launch into an immersive encounter with texture, strength and spectacle
Aveeno Length & Strength Installation

Where structural design meets sensorial storytelling

London, 2026:Conceived for the launch of Aveeno’s Length & Strength range, this interactive installation translated the science of resilient hair into a physical, participatory form. Installed within the Barbican Conservatory, London’s second largest greenhouse and a verdant oasis within the City’s iconic brutalist arts complex, the project united product narrative with place. The Conservatory’s tropical planting and status as a rarely accessible cultural site added architectural and ecological resonance, situating the work within one of London’s most distinctive environments.

At its core stood a monumental swing enveloped in oversized braided hair, fabricated to appear soft and organic while meeting exacting structural and safety standards. The juxtaposition of visual delicacy and engineering precision reflected the product’s promise, strength without compromise to softness. Guests were encouraged to sit, sway and engage directly with the sculpture, transforming a static display into a kinetic experience that animated the launch environment.

The installation functioned simultaneously as artwork, demonstration and stage set, translating material performance into spatial form. By elevating hair from styling subject to architectural medium, the project reframed a familiar beauty narrative through the language of design, engineering and spectacle, set beneath a canopy of palms and ferns that temper the geometry of the surrounding concrete.
