BOYNER Sky Magic
An immersive, dreamlike encounter
Istanbul, 2024: Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık unveiled its reimagined store at İstinyePark Istanbul, introducing Sky Magic—a visionary fusion of fashion, lifestyle, art, and technology. Designed by Bompas & Parr, the launch event invited guests to step into a world where clouds became tangible, jelly embodied mystery, and the impossible became reality.
The experience unfolded as a voyage through interactive weather-inspired moments. Guests wandered through the Rain Room, inhaling the scent of fresh rainfall, and touched ethereal clouds, crafted to blur the line between imagination and reality. Each element—whether a jelly mirroring the mystique of the sky or an all-weather menu—was designed to spark wonder and delight.
The grand reopening welcomed leading figures from fashion, business, and retail to explore Boyner’s dynamic new space, spanning six thousand square meters. Redesigned by Toner Architecture, the store featured exclusive collections, artist collaborations, digital experience points, and sensory-driven spaces like a nail art bar and coffee areas.
Blending technology with enchantment, Sky Magic redefined retail as an immersive, ever-changing journey—where the skies come to life, and the unexpected awaits at every turn.
The Cocktails
The cocktail menu for the event featured six expertly crafted drinks, blending vibrant flavours and creative mixology.
Guests enjoyed Before the Storm, a striking cocktail made with white rum, blue curaçao, orange juice, and topped with a luscious Italian meringue. For those seeking a non-alcoholic alternative, After the Storm provided a similarly refreshing experience with a combination of orange juice, lemon, grenadine, and Italian meringue.
The menu also included Citrus Heatwave, a zesty and effervescent concoction of lemon vodka, soda, and a delicate orange blossom foam. A non-alcoholic version was also available, replacing the vodka with Seedlip for a sophisticated yet alcohol-free alternative.
For a touch of elegance, guests could choose the Sunset Fizz, a sparkling cocktail with Champagne, Cognac, and an Angostura-soaked sugar cube for a nuanced depth of flavour. To ensure inclusivity, this was also available free from alcohol as a beautifully balanced mix of elderflower, verjus, and sugar. A mix of bold, refreshing, and sophisticated flavours, the cocktail selection catered to a variety of palates, ensuring a memorable drinking experience for all attendees.
The Canapés
The canapé menu offered an exquisite selection of artfully crafted bites, each bursting with unique flavours and textures.
Altopop featured a delicate blend of cep marshmallow, popped sorghum, cumin, smoked paprika, and ghee.
Up In Smoke presented a smoky delight with smoked mussel, saffron sauce, rice paper, and coriander powder.
Earth Orbit showcased a rich chestnut mushroom parfait encased in a delicate brik pastry ring, enhanced with black truffle.
Cloud Fromage was an airy indulgence featuring a gougère filled with Parmigiano Reggiano mousse and topped with an egg white cloud.
Finally, Sunrise delivered a burst of umami with slow-dried tomato, tomato consommé jelly, and an aged Comté crisp.
