Edible Exhibition
Taking interactive cultural interactions to new heights.
Cultivating children's culinary imaginations
London, 2017: Bompas & Parr, advertising agency AMV BBDO and the V&A Museum of Childhood encouraged kids to play with their food in the world’s first interactive edible exhibition.
Over 100 children were given the chance to use their imagination and invent their ultimate food fantasies at a free workshop. Six winning designs were then selected and turned into delicious reality: glow-in-the-dark ice cream made from carrots; edible bubbles made from broccoli and cucumber; and a parsnip tornado. The exhibits were also captured by illustrator Rob Flowers in a series of posters and invitations that were also entirely edible.
The whole exhibition took weeks to organise, but was eaten within two hours.
