Inspiring appreciation of nature in the concrete jungle

London, 2017: Bompas & Parr's summer activation for Westfield explored the complex relationship between humans and nature with fun and adventurous activities.

Visitors to the stunning indoor forest embarked on an exhilarating journey of discovery that provides insight into the future of nature and its potential role in urban landscapes. With fun activities aimed at all ages, the experience highlighted the importance of forests and the roles they will increasingly play in our lives.

Guests were invited to walk, tumble and jump on water on the Forest Zorb Lagoon, and soar across the space on a zip-line. They also discovered a fantastical fruit cloud, a mini exhibition showcasing plants that create electricity, and could learn about the magic of spider silk, alongside artefacts, artworks and anecdotes about forests and nature.

Everything was designed to inspire guests to consider the environment and the outdoors, as well as relaxation, health and wellbeing
