AlUla’s first liquid nitrogen experience

Saudi Arabia, 2023: To cool guests down in AlUla, Bompas & Parr designed the Memory Sanctuary. This refresh zone paired the unique Oasis flavours with sub zero temperatures for the ultimate revitalising experience.

Guests began by journeying along a flavoured misty memory walk learning about the flavours of the local area and the iconic history of the Oasis before arriving at The Memory Sanctuary, a cool haven away from the heat of the oasis. Inside, guests watched as ice cream lollipops were dipped in glazes then set by liquid nitrogen in seconds. After the lollipops, they were given a selection of super-cooled refreshing ice slushies, with flavours local to the Oasis including Arabic coffee and Saffron.

After visitors crafted their nostalgic desserts, they relaxed and unwound in the Oasis Lounge before departing fully refreshed and revitalised filled with wonderful new memories.
