Symphony in Blue
An architectural and culinary extravaganza
London, 2014: Symphony in Blue was an immersive and theatrical experience designed and produced for Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Located at Merchant Taylors' Hall, one of the City of London's famous guild halls, the event was designed to celebrate the aromatic and flavour profile of Johnnie Walker Blue Label in a seven-room experiential extravaganza.
The whisky was interpreted across a series of theatrical elements including a Whisky Woodland, an inhalable aromatic storm called Whisky Weather, and an Ice Cavern that deconstructed the perfect serve of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, served alongside iced water chilled with 10,000-year-old glacial ice.
Evening performances culminated in an epic feast, where long dining tables seating more than 200 people became the stage for theatrical and dance performances.
The Flavour Conductor, built by Mander Organs, one of the country’s oldest organ specialists, was unveiled at Symphony in Blue, with projection mapping lending the instrument an ever-changing organic form, with images and sound designed to influence the perception of taste.
